Cutting up a Whole Chicken

I recently made my annual trip back to West Concord to pick up the farm raised chickens I order from my cousin Shelley. I grew up eating farm chicken that my Grandpa raised, and I just can’t get myself to eat anything else. In my mind, the store bought chickens are small, tasteless & expensive. Plus, you don’t know where or how they were raised. To be completely honest however, there is a downside to farm chicken; you have to butcher them yourself.

Saturday Morning Wake-up

The kids love their new little sister! The first thing they want to do each morning when they wake up is hold her. This morning was no exception. Maybe the excitement the older kids have will rub off on the baby at some point…..she wasn’t so pleased! Ha!

To Work Out or Not to Work Out?

Last night I made my 4th trip to the YMCA. I bought a summer membership about a month ago, and am happy to report that my ‘per workout’ cost is now under $50. It’s sad, but what is a busy guy to do? A local Minneapolis guy I met a few months ago, Sheff Otis, has a unique answer. When this dad of 7 wasn’t able to make it to the gym anymore, he created the “Dadiator Workout“.
